Initial Nutrition Assessment (60 minutes)

Meeting you where you are.

Get to know each other, discuss your nutrition and medical history, reflect on your vision for what you’d like your relationship with food and exercise to be.

Emily works in the ED treatment center space and is familiar with coordinating care with clients currently in the PHP and IOP level of care at eating disorder treatment facilities. Building a relationship with an outpatient provider prior to stepping down from an eating disorder treatment center is highly valuable to preserve progress and have a relationship already built for a client to transition to.

Individual Sessions
(30-60 minutes)

Customized to your needs.

A collaborative, open space to discuss what’s coming up for you, process disordered eating patterns from the week, and celebrate the successes of your authentic self. Giving airtime to our victories, and having a space to be unconditionally seen in our struggles, is transformative in eating disorder recovery. Connection is the antidote to isolation which so often accompanies an eating disorder.

Other topics that often come up in session:

  • Discuss physiological blueprint of recovery and stages of change, which provides you with a sense of containment and direction

  • Eating disorder informed nutrition education tailored to your unique stage in recovery

  • Clarify nutrition myths, recognize influence of diet culture, practice attuning to inner cues, honoring hunger and respecting fullness

  • Build new internal dialogues related to food as nourishment

  • Cultivate a new relationship to negative body image thoughts in order to transcend their hold on our peace of mind

Other aspects of care include:
Interactive food journaling & symptom monitoring via electronic app
Medical & lab test interpretation
Collaboration with interdisciplinary team & family
